Scholarship Coordinator

Updated Sunday December 17, 2017 by Spokane Valley Girls Softball Association.

SVGSA is looking for someone to head up our scholarship program for graduating high school girls who have played at least 2 years in our league.  In this role you will need to reach out to area high schools in an effort to provide them with information about the scholarships that we offer to current and former players.

In addition to this you will need to work at identifying 3 to 5 members of the community not associated with our softball league or any applicants who are willing to spend just a couple hours reviewing and scoring the applicants.  We provide the outlines for how the scoring works so it is pretty simple.

This person will also work with our social media and webmaster to ensure information is posted and emailed to our league members informing them of the program and encouraging interested players to apply.  You will also recieve guidance, assistance and support from our Board of Directors.

We offer up to 3 - $1000 scholarships (based on number of applicants) annually.  In the past 8 years we've awarded over $20.000 in scholarships to former players!!

Volunteer Annual Time Commitment (Approx.) for this position:  20 hours.

If you are interested in helping out you can email us at or send us a message through our Facebook page.
