This position is a 2 year term that is open for elections during even number years. The next time the position is up is after the 2018 season.
The President is the leader and the voice for SVGSA. The President is responsible for setting the agenda for our meetings. He/She is the face of the organization, the visionary and the ambassador and is responsible for making sure the league is holding true to the spirit and legacy of the league. This is done by holding everyone accountable to rules of the Bylaws and Constitution of the league. The President sets clear guidelines, goals and timelines for the leagues othe Directors and Members/Volunteers.
August - December : Couple hours a month preparing for league board meetings:
January - March : 6 hours a month mostly devoted to our bi-weekly pre-season meetings.
April-May : 12 hours to work on the end of registration, rostering, and a Saturday open office day.
June - July : 1 night a week at the softball complex during league games, All-Star/Skills Competition and end of season tournament. (About 25 hours each June and July.)
